Internships
I am always happy to provide internships to qualified students in all three of my
offices. A Congressional internship provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the
political and legislative process. Students also learn about vital community organizations
and develop a better understanding of the Federal, State and local governments.
Interns in the Washington office draft constituent correspondence, attend briefings and
Congressional hearings, and prepare memorandum for me and members of my staff. They also
help answer telephones and assist with data entry. Interns in the Huntington and Bayside
offices conduct research, assist with constituent casework, draft correspondence and
answer telephones.
If you would like to apply for an internship, please send a resume, cover letter and a one
page writing sample to the office in which you would like to intern.
