WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, today announced that the Village of Chatham will receive a Community Facility Grant totaling $38,445.
The grant will be used toward the purchase of a new dump truck for the Village of Chatham.
"This grant will enable the Village of Chatham to serve its residents in a better way," Alexander said. "Our small towns and communities often rely on grants such as this one to help produce a cleaner environment."
According to the USDA, this grant will enable the Village of Chatham to have access to equipment for cleanup activities. This project is in a special emphasis parish located in the Lower Mississippi Delta Development Initiative.
