WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, and U.S. Sen. David Vitter, R-Louisiana, today announced that Trailblazer Resource & Conservation Area will receive a grant totaling $99,600, which will be used to provide recycling education to students and civic groups in North Louisiana.
The grant is disbursed by the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
"I know the work that Trailblazer Resource Conservation Area does is imperative to improving the quality of life for residents in North Louisiana," Alexander said.
"This grant will help us to be better stewards of our land and resources."
Vitter added, "I am very pleased that the USDA made this funding available to the Trailblazer Resource & Conservation Area, which has been working to improve the quality of life in north Louisiana since 1966."
