Alexander Commends ULM Student for Participation in National Event
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Rodney Alexander (R-Quitman) today commended Todd Spears, a biology major at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, for his participation Wednesday in a Capitol Hill event, “2007 Posters on the Hill.”
The event, sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research, featured poster presentations of scientific and engineering research conducted by 80 undergraduate students throughout the country.
“I was very proud to see a student from the 5th District honored at this prestigious event,” Alexander said. “His involvement shows that students at ULM are excelling on a national level.”
Spears’ poster was titled “Monitoring Pollutants Via the Catfish Olfactory Response: Determining LC50 Values and Swimming Behavior in the Presence of Pollutants.”
