Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander and U.S. Sen. David Vitter announced today that Evangeline Parish will receive a federal grant in the amount of $74,980 to purchase and install equipment to improve the water system.
“Keeping the water supply safe is of the utmost importance, and the improvements that will be made through this grant will enable Evangeline Parish to ensure its water system is operating properly,” Alexander said.
“All citizens need clean, safe drinking water,” said Vitter. “This funding will help ensure Oakdale residents have that drinking water.”
This grant is provided through U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.###
