Alexander: 9/11 Anniversary Serves as Reminder of Importance of Strong National Defense, Military
WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, today released the following statement regarding the sixth anniversary of September 11.
“This week our nation’s attention has been locked onto General Petraeus’ testimony on the status of the United States’ progress in Iraq, and as we approach the sixth anniversary of 9/11, I am reminded once again of the importance of strong national defense on all fronts.
For the last several years, our military has taken on the unprecedented challenge of fighting an enemy unlike any other in our nation’s history. I stand by the convictions and guidance of our military leaders, and I believe firmly that their efforts have protected our great country against similar attacks such as the one we endured six years ago.”
