WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, today announced that Jackson Parish will receive a United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development grant totaling $130,000 to construct a multipurpose building for the Greater North Louisiana Community Development Corporation in Jonesboro.
The building provide the community with meeting and training facilities.
“Since 2000, this organization has worked so hard to make a difference in the community,” Alexander said. “With a new facility, they can continue their mission of improving the local economy and housing.”
This project is part of the Economic Impact Initiative located in a special emphasis parish in the lower Mississippi Delta Development Initiative.
