Reps. Berry and Snyder Along with
Senators Lincoln and Pryor Announce $746,500 
 
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressmen Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) and Vic Snyder (D-AR, 2nd) joined U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, to announce $746,500 in grants for environmental assessments in the City of Helena and Pulaski County, AR.

 

The grant comes from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields Program. The assessment grants will be used to provide funding for brownfield inventories, planning, environmental assessments and community outreach. The Brownfield Program revitalizes environmentally damaged areas which in turn creates jobs and preserves green space and open land.

 

  • Helena, AR will receive an Assessment Grant worth $400,000
  • Pulaski County will receive an Assessment Grant worth $346,500
