WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) joined Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor today to announce $25,000 in grants to the Crittenden County Workforce Alliance.
The funds represent a two-year Faith-Based and Community Initiative grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The grant will provide life and job skill training for ex-offenders reentering their communities. The program, known as “The Ex-Offender Workforce Development Program,” assists in the development of a range of skills necessary to ensure long-term employability and in finding job placements.
