Rep. Berry and Senators Lincoln and Pryor Announce
Economic Development Funds for ASU

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) joined Senators Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) and Mark Pryor (D-AR) today to announce $50,000 for Arkansas State University (ASU) from the Economic Development Administration (EDA).

The investment will assist in funding the EDA University Center to continue providing technical assistance to communities and organizations in Eastern Arkansas.

“Rural communities benefit from a continued investment in economic development,” Congressman Berry said. “The counties of Arkansas’ First Congressional District continue to be a place families and businesses want to stay and grow. Improving the wellness of our communities though expanding technical assistance to regional groups is a key ingredient in providing for the area’s balanced growth.”
