WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) joined Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, to announce $658,128 in rural development grants from multiple agencies.
$74,690 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant program will be used to renovate two low- and eight very low-income individual homes in Mississippi County.
A combined $583,438 from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will go to the White River Rural Health Center in Woodruff County for multiple programs:
· Ryan White Title III HIV Capacity Development and Planning Grants - $91,740
· Ryan White Title IV Women, Infants, Children, Youth and Affected Family Members AIDS Healthcare - $230,384
· General operation grant for the White River Health Center Cluster - $261,314
