“We must provide the equipment, training, and facilities necessary to protect our firefighters as they bravely protect us,” said Pryor.  “I commend the Horseshoe Bend firefighters for their courageous work and will continue to support programs that keep them safe and secure.”

"These Homeland Security grants are an excellent way for them to acquire the equipment they need to ensure public safety in their communities."

The AFGP awards one-year grants to support the nation’s firefighters and the services they deliver.  Funding from the Operations and Firefighter Safety Program helps provide training, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, and fire station improvement.
