Representative Berry and Senators Lincoln and Pryor Announce $103,174 from the Indian Education Act Program
 

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D, AR-1st), along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, announced $103,174 in education grants through the Department of Education’s Indian Education Act Program.

 

The grants will be used to purchase computers, new library books, machines for the hearing impaired and other curriculum supplies that would not otherwise be affordable due to state budget cuts. Searcy County in Arkansas’ First Congressional District received the following funds:

 

  • Marshall School District - $76,554
  • St. Joe School District - $26,620
