WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st), with U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, announced today that Osceola will receive more than $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The Economic Development Administration (EDA), an office within the Commerce Department, has awarded the grant to construct industrial park improvements. The EDA estimates this investment will create 476 new jobs and generate private investments of approximately $37 million.
The grant is further good news for Osceola and Mississippi County which recently celebrated its selection as the new location for a new Denso Corporation manufacturing plant.
