ARKANSAS DELEGATION ANNOUNCES
$90,848 FOR RURAL FIRE PROTECTION IN INDEPENDENCE COUNTY
 
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor announced today that rural fire departments in Floral, Arkansas have been awarded $90,848 in grants from the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

 

This program provides support to fire departments by providing the tools and resources necessary to ensure both the safety of department personnel and the general public. 

 

The following department has been awarded grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety, which includes training, equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, and modifications to fire stations and facilities.
