Rep. Berry, with Senators Lincoln and Pryor, Announce Nearly $2 Million to Improve Water Projects in Sharp County
 

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor announced today that Sharp County will receive $1,991,900 in grants and loans to add a new water tank and well to the county’s current water system.

The rural development funds are distributed through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will enable Sharp County to serve its existing users more efficiently as well as expand their current capabilities to serve additional users. The additional tank and well are needed due to low water pressure and the increased demand for water last summer caused. The funds are split between a grant of $1,078,500 and a loan of $913,400.
