Rep. Berry, with Senators Lincoln and Pryor, Announce $7.5 Million for Head Start Projects
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor today announced $7.5 million in grants for Head Start programs in Mississippi and Phillips Counties.

The funds, from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), are continuing grants enabling Head Start to provide facilities and services to hundreds of children in both counties in addition to training for new Head Start teachers. Mississippi County (Blytheville) will receive $5,245,746 to continue its projects and programs and Phillips County (Helena) will receive $2,299,501 for Head Start training and technical assistance.
