 Frank, Bachus, Kanjorski, Pryce, Maloney and Biggert Announce Hearing on Capital Markets Intervention

 

            Washington, DC – House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA) , Ranking Member Spencer Bachus (R-AL); Capital Markets Subcommittee Chair and Ranking Members Paul E. Kanjorski (D-PA) and Deborah Pryce (R-OH); and Financial Institutions Subcommittee Chair and Ranking Members Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Judy Biggert (R-IL), today announced that the committee will hold a hearing entitled, “The Future of Financial Services:  Exploring Solutions for the Market Crisis” on Wednesday, September 24th.   This will be a legislative hearing to examine the Bush Administration’s capital markets intervention proposal. 

            Please note the nature of the hearing originally scheduled for this date has been changed.
