Washington, DC – Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chairwoman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity, today announced that the subcommittee will hold its second day of hearings examining the “Reauthorization of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act,” on Thursday, October 11, 2007.  The hearing will examine several proposed reauthorization strategies, including H.R. 840, the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing Act of 2007 and S. 1518, the Community Partnership to End Homelessness Act of 2007.
