Amount Requested: $880,000
The funding will be used by the Town of Griffith to construct, plan, design, engineer, conduct environmental review, acquire right-of-way, replace underground infrastructure, and reconstruct Broad Street. This project will expand the roadway from just north of Main Street to the Canadian National Railroad tracks. This project, coupled with the already scheduled reconstruction of North Broad Street, will help revitalize Griffith’s downtown area. The project will extend and complete the replacement of undersized water and wastewater infrastructure within the downtown business district and will result in decreased flooding.
