- Attended Meeting of Democratic Members of the House to discuss Afghanistan.
- Spoke with Treasury Officials to discuss insurance issues in financial regulatory reform proposals.

- The U.S. House met at 10:00 a.m. for legislative business. Debated and voted on several pieces of legislation including H.R. 3791, the Fire Grants Reauthorization Act, a five year reauthorization of two important grant programs that help equip and staff fire departments. In the past four years alone, more than 760 grants were awarded to fire departments in Michigan through these two programs.
- Met with Nominee for Under Secretary for International Trade at the Department of Commerce to discuss trade issues with China.
- Attended Meeting with Ways and Means Democrats to discuss tax and job creation proposals.
