| USDA Announces Disaster Designation in Missouri | ||

The USDA designated 28 counties in Missouri as primary natural disaster areas due to flooding and strong winds that occurred from February 1 to July 31, 2009. Counties designated as primary natural disaster areas in the Fourth Congressional District include: Cedar, Laclede, and Pulaski counties.
Barton, Butler, Camden, Dade, Dallas, Lafayette, Polk, Ray, Saline, Vernon, and Webster counties were designated as counties contiguous to those in the primary natural disaster area.
Producers in primary and contiguous counties are eligible to be considered for assistance from the Farm Service Agency. To obtain more information about this disaster assistance, please contact your local Farm Service Agency office or visit the Agency's website.
