Chairman Peter T. King delivers opening statement at the Committee on Homeland Security hearing entitled "Public Safety Communications: Are the Needs of Our First Responders Being Met?" Note: In February, King introduced H.R. 607, "The Broadband for First Responders Act of 2011" to reallocate the D Block for public safety for the establishment of a nationwide public safety interoperable mobile broadband network.
