Monroe County, Florida -- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, will attend tomorrow the “2008 Equality Florida Key West Reception” in support of statewide equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals.

Ros-Lehtinen has led the charge in her Party and the House to enact laws that protect all persons regardless of sexual orientation.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “It is our most basic responsibility as lawmakers to protect all individuals in our society from all types of discrimination. It is a responsibility that I take very seriously because there is no room for this type of backward thinking in the 21^st century.”
