| Washington, D.C.—Congressman Steve King said upon hearing news of the death of Wiley Mayne, "Wiley Mayne has left northwest Iowa with a sterling legacy of public service. Through his service in the FBI, the Navy, and four noteworthy terms in Congress, he consistently served as a role model for all Iowans. We thank the Mayne family for sharing him with the nation for so many years."
The former Congressman died Sunday morning in Sioux City at the age of 90. Mr. Mayne served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1967-1975, representing much of northwest Iowa.
