KING WELCOMES ODEBOLT FARMER TO
WASHINGTON, D.C., OFFICE

Washington, D.C.— Odebolt farmer John Scott spent Thursday in the Washington, D.C. office of Iowa Congressman Steve King.  Scott spent the day shadowing King’s agriculture policy aide, Amy Lloyd.

Scott came to Washington with the Iowa Corn Growers Association for the National Corn Growers Association’s ‘Corn Congress’.  In addition to his time in King’s office, he met with producers from other states to establish working relationships and visited the entire Iowa Congressional delegation to discuss issues pertaining to agriculture, such as the energy bill, trade policy, transportation issues, and quality of rural life.
