Suffolk University has requested Federal funding for its Juvenile Justice Center which, since its establishment in 1998, has provided high-quality legal representation and support services to over 5,500 indigent youth, 2000 juveniles defense attorneys and 350 youth workers in after school employment programs. Funds provided will allow the JJC to continue to provide high quality juvenile defense and also enable it to develop new strategies to better respond to the issues faced by our children and our juvenile justice system.
