The Town of Walpole has requested funds to continue an existing roadway project previously funded under the Transportation Equity Act. The funds will support full-depth reconstruction Washington Street between High Plain and Common Streets, sidewalk installation and replacement including granite curbing, upgrading of drain culvert crossings; and installation of new catch basin as needed to address environmental concerns .This is a critical project because situated on this roadway is the Boyden Elementary School. These important improvements will ensure the safety of the students, as well as that of the other children and their parents who utilize the playgrounds, fields and municipal pools in the area.
