- Met with Trade Subcommittee Staff to review the week's trade agenda and pending trade issues.
- Phone Call with DOL Assistant Secretary Jane Oates regarding the State of Michigan receiving $38 million to retrain unemployed workers. The grants will allow 13,000 additional workers to enter No Worker Left Behind program.
- Met with Chrysler Company Officials, Rep. John Dingell, and other Delegation office.
- Debated and voted on several pieces of legislation including H.R. 905, the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Underwater Preserve Boundary Modification Act. This bill would extend the Thunder Bay Marine Sanctuary’s boundaries to include the waters off Alcona, Alpena and Presque Isle counties in Michigan and extend the sanctuary east to the international boundary with Canada, to preserve an additional 180 shipwrecks within the Great Lakes.

- The U.S. House met at 10:00 a.m. for legislative business. Debated and voted on several pieces of legislation including the Conference Report to H.R. 3183, the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act.
- Attended Meeting with Colleagues and Israeli Ambassador to U.S.
- Attended Meeting with Colleagues on National Security and Energy Policy
- Attended Ways and Means Committee Hearing on defined benefit pension plan funding levels and investment advice rules.
- Taped Cable Show on manufacturing policy with Scott Paul of Alliance for American Manufacturing and Clyde Prestowitz of the Economic Strategy Institute.
- Traveled back home to Michigan

- Attend the Clinton River Review sponsored by Oakland University and the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner. The Review is an annual gathering of stakeholders and elected officials to discuss the progress of the Clinton River Watershed.
