- Attended Meeting of Democratic Members of the House to discuss health care reform legislation.
- Met with officials from Treasury Department to discuss the Treasury Department’s issuance of its semi-annual Report to Congress on International Economic and Exchange Rate Policies.
- Attended Meeting with Ways and Means Democrats to discuss health care reform legislation
- Met with Panama’s Minister of Commerce and Industry to discuss trade issues.
- Attended briefing with Colleagues and Ron Bloom, White House Senior Counselor for Manufacturing Policy, to discuss a sustainable national manufacturing policy.
- Met with Lt. Governor John Cherry to discuss current developments in Michigan.
- The Congressional-Executive Commission on China published its 2009 Annual Report. The Commission was created by Congress in 2000 to monitor human rights and the development of the rule of law in China. The full text of this year’s report is available at www.cecc.gov, along with a PDF containing case records of 1,279 political prisoners currently detained or imprisoned in China.
