Detroit, MI — Today, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (13th District, Michigan) released the following statement about Mayor Kilpatrick’s legal issues:

“I am disappointed with the Wayne County prosecutor’s decision. However, we must allow the process to run its course.

The Mayor is entitled to a speedy and fair trial. I hope all involved will allow this case to be tried in a court of law.”
