Washington, DC - Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI15) made the following comments on President Obama’s health care proposals in the federal budget which will be released tomorrow. 

“I commend President Obama on his continued commitment to act this year on comprehensive health care reform that provides affordable coverage for all Americans. 

“Our nation’s health care system is in crisis and calls for strong leadership.  By including a substantial down payment on health care reform in his budget proposal, President Obama provides that strong leadership.  I appreciate the bold steps President Obama is taking and I stand ready to work with him to carry comprehensive health reform legislation across the finish line.”
