Washington, DC - Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI15) made the following statement this morning after Fiat SpA closed its purchase of Chrysler LLC's assets from bankruptcy. 

“The courts’ quick action on Chrysler’s bankruptcy case and Fiat’s purchase of the company’s good assets provide the ultimate validation of what many in Michigan have been arguing for a while now – Chrysler is a company that can succeed and compete with anyone.  I am glad company executives can now focus on making cars and the people who work the assembly line can get back to building those great cars.”
