Skelton: Recovery Act Provides $32 Million For Fourth District Road Construction Projects
 

          Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Ike Skelton (D-MO) announced that the Missouri Department of Transportation will release more than $32 million in road construction projects in Missouri’s Fourth Congressional District.  These funds were made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. 

          “I was pleased to learn that communities throughout the Fourth District will receive Recovery Act funding for several road improvement, bridge construction, and road resurfacing projects.  These projects will create jobs, but will also improve highway safety, which is particularly important for rural Missourians who tend to travel greater distances to work or take care of family business,” said Skelton.
