WASHINGTON   –  U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will personally congratulate Alexandria Birk, winner of the 2009 Congressional Art Competition for Missouri’s Eighth District on May 8th at Saxony Lutheran High School.  Miss Birk’s winning submission, “Not Smiling,” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.  A reception will be held in Washington, DC for competition winners from across the nation on June 24th.

Friday’s meeting in Jackson is open to members of the media.
