Emerson Announces MO-08 Projects from Homeland Security Bill – October 15, 2009
WASHINGTON – With today’s passage of H.R. 2892, the FY 2010 Homeland Security Appropriations Act, U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) announced funding for Howell County Emergency Preparedness in West Plains.“In the last year, we’ve seen countless examples of the need for emergency preparedness in Southern Missouri. When a severe storm hits or any other disaster occurs, time is of the essence. It’s extremely important that our first responders have the resources to get organized and deployed as quickly as possible. This facility in Howell County will make a high level of coordination and response the standard for our communities,” Emerson said.
