WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) today announced 13 grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will be made to improve public safety in Eighth District communities.
“Readiness and capability are key to every emergency, large and small. Our first responders need up-to-date equipment and support to keep them safe as they put themselves in the path of danger to protect us all. These grants will make their duty significantly easier and less hazardous. I am glad to congratulate all of the entities which have earned awards from the Department of Homeland Security,” Emerson said.
