WASHINGTON   –  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) today congratulated Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, on being named one of twelve “Distinctive Destinations” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. 

“Our region is home to a dramatic amount of American history, and Ste. Genevieve is one of the keys to Missouri’s rich past.  I’m proud of the community for earning this designation, and I hope we continue to improve on the already great reputation we have of being a national destination for travel and tourism,” Emerson said.  “This is a tremendous honor that our entire part of the state can build on in the future.”

Ste. Genevieve will also hold an event on March 29 at 1:00 p.m. called, “Spring into Ste. Genevieve.”
