WASHINGTON   –  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) issued the following statement in response to the death of Sgt. Bradley Skelton of the National Guard’s 1138th Battalion:

“I’m very saddened to learn of the second casualty in the 1138th Battalion in a week.  Sgt. Bradley Skelton’s loss is acutely felt by our whole congressional district and our entire nation.  My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues, as well as the whole family of the 1138th, which is based in Farmington but draws patriotic Americans to serve from throughout our region. My thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. Skelton’s family during this troubled time, and I can’t say enough about the great debt owed to Bradley and to them by our nation,” Emerson said.
