WALSH ANNOUNCES $70,000 FEDERAL GRANT

FOR WILLIAMSON -SODUS AIRPORT

(Washington D.C.)- Congressman Jim Walsh today announced a $70,000 federal grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for Williamson-Sodus Airport. The federal funding is for obstruction removal in the Runway 28 approach surface and runway protection zone.

This project includes removing overhead utilities on the runway approach and placing these facilities underground to enhance safe airport operations.
