|
| (WASHINGTON, D.C.)-Congressman Jim Langevin, a member of
the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, today offered the following statement
regarding the proposed merger of General Dynamics and Newport News Shipbuilding.
“I have been assured by General Dynamics that Rhode Islanders will continue to build the nation's submarine fleet here in our back yards and that no layoffs are scheduled as a result of this merger. Submarine construction has a long and distinguished history in Rhode
