Langevin Hosts Cyber Panel Discussion |

WARWICK, RI - Congressman Jim Langevin will host a panel discussion on cyber warfare and deterrence tomorrow, October 29, at 2 p.m. in the Capitol Visitor Center’s South Meeting Room. The panel will examine the expanding threat of cyber attacks, their importance relative to other strategic threats and implications for traditional methods of deterrence. Panelists will include: Paul Kurtz – Paul Kurtz is a partner at Good Harbor Consulting with over 20 years experience in national security, serving on the White House's National Security Council and at the State Department. For the past 10 years he has focused on cybersecurity and counter terrorism. Martin Libicki - Martin Libicki is a senior management scientist at the RAND Corporation, where he specializes in the application of information technology to problems of national and homeland defense. His most recent publication is Cyberdeterrence and Cyberwar. -30- |
