February 12 - Congressman Zach Wamp announces openings for challenging spring and summer internships for Third District college students in his Washington, D.C., office. Internships provide many opportunities to learn how government works and how a Congressional office serves the public.

Interns gain invaluable, career-building experience working on Capitol Hill by researching projects, writing reports and helping with general office duties. In the past, Washington interns have helped with incoming constituent communication, aided legislative staff and the communications director with special projects and attended staff meetings with the Congressman.

Candidates who reside in or attend a college or university inside Tennessee’s Third District and are part of an educational program are given more consideration. Interns work during regular business hours, and additional weight will be granted to candidates who are able to devote more time to their internships.
