September 15 – Our nation faces many challenges, including the need for health care reform, rising unemployment and runaway spending. Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina publicly apologized for his emotional outburst during President Obama’s speech last week and the President has publicly accepted it. The President of the greatest nation in the world should be treated with respect, especially by an elected leader at a joint session of Congress. But it is time for Congress to set the political bickering aside and move on to a constructive debate of the important issues facing the American people.
