February 6 - “The violent storms that tore through Tennessee overnight affect our entire state, and we continue to learn from reports the scope of the devastation. Students from the Third Congressional District were at Union University, which took a direct hit by a tornado and injured several dozen students. Our hearts to go out to all fellow Tennesseans who are suffering losses, those who are injured and those whose family members were killed in these fierce tornadoes. I want to extend a word of thanks to all those who have assisted their neighbors and even strangers in need during this very difficult time. We will remain prepared to provide support from the federal level in any way that we can.”
