June 9 – The Veterans Administration repaired a deteriorating building on the VA’s Alvin C. York Campus after Congressman Zach Wamp visited the Murfreesboro facility. Zach is the lead Republican on the House subcommittee that oversees the VA and when he saw that the structure was in disrepair, he immediately asked the VA to make the necessary renovations to improve the building. Our veterans often travel long distances to receive medical care and deserve to be treated in adequate facilities. These exterior repairs were part of a major renovation project to modernize and upgrade the facility and improve productivity. The Alvin C. York VA medical center is part of the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System and provides veterans from across Tennessee with primary, surgical and psychiatric health care services.
