Washington, D.C. - This morning U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX) was recognized for his unwavering conservative values by the American Conservative Union. The ACU’s Rating Award is widely recognized as the “gold standard” conservative assessment of lawmakers in Washington.


“The ACU Ratings Award for 2008 is given for Congressman Brady’s support of conservative principles on a wide range of issues,” said ACU Chairman David A. Keene.  “Congressman Brady’s lifetime rating of 95% over his years of service reflects a member of Congress conservatives in Texas and across the country can look to for leadership,” Keene continued.


Said Brady, who serves on the leadership board of the House Republican Study Committee, “There is no more important time than right now to be fighting for lower taxes, smaller government and free markets. I am honored to be recognized by the ACU.”
