Smith is the sponsor of the Federal Way t-ball team. "I want to be involved in my community," Smith explained. "I'm proud to be involved with the program."

To sponsor the team, Smith donated $300--personal money, not government money--to fund the team's uniforms and equipment. He also plans to attend some of their games and "cheer them on."

"Organized sports are great for kids," Smith said. "It teaches discipline, hard work, teamwork, and goal setting. I'm glad I can help provide that opportunity to kids in my community."
