Congresswoman Capps presents grant to the Coalition to End Family Violence Suport Center
Congresswoman Capps presented a giant check for $200,000 representing a grant to the Coalition to End Family Violence Suport Center on Febryary 19. The grant was included in the 2005 Omnibus spending bill. The Family Support Center provides immediate crisis intervention, 24 hour crisis hotline, counseling, teen anger management classes, children's anger management classes, teen empowerment support groups, parenting classes, and prevention education to the young people on such topics as dating violence, substance abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence in their homes.
