Congresswoman Bean Releases Requests for Transportation Reauthorization


Below are Congresswoman Melissa Bean’s (IL-08) funding requests for SAFETEA-LU reauthorization.

Note: Requests are listed in alphabetical order

Charles J. Miller Road Widening ($10,000,000): Construct, design, engineer, conduct environmental review, acquire right-of-way, reconstruct, install, and/or realign improvements on Charles J. Miller.

IL Route 59 Underpass at CN/EJ&E Railway ($84,000,000): Mitigation of the CN/EJ&E impacts in the Village of Barrington including planning, design, environmental review, engineering, and constructing an underpass at Illinois Route 59 (Hough Street) and the CN/EJ&E.

METRA STAR (Suburban Transit Access Route) Line (Project authorization request): Authorization is sought for preliminary engineering of the STAR Line in Northwest Illinois.

METRA Union Pacific Northwest (UP-NW) Line ($251,520,000 made jointly with other delegation members): Authorization is sought for preliminary engineering, final design, right of way acquisition, and construction of the UP-NW.

Quentin-Dundee Road Reconstruction ($10,816,000): Widening and reconstruction of Quentin Road from Dundee Road to Lake Cook Road..

Quentin-IL Route 22 Reconstruction ($12,526,400): Widening and reconstruction of Quentin Road between White Pine Road and IL Route 22 in the Village of Kildeer.

Quentin-Rue Royale Reconstruction ($11,930,400):  Widening and reconstruction of Quentin Road between Rue Royale and White Pine Road including improvements to the intersection of Quentin Road at U.S. Route 12 in the Village of Kildeer, IL.

Route 83 Capacity Improvements Project ($6,804,000): Design, engineer and construct improvements to Route 83 north of Route 120 in Lake County.

US Route 14 Underpass at CN/EJ&E Railway ($69,000,000): Mitigation of the CN/EJ&E impacts in the Village of Barrington including planning, design, environmental review, engineering, and constructing an underpass at US Route 14 (Northwest Highway) and the CN/EJ&E.
